Bombay Veterinary College (BVC) was establihed in 1886 and is one of the pioneer institute in Mumbai. The band of newly educated Veterinarians coming out of Bombay Veterinary College did yeoman service to veterinary education, research and extension and through it to the land and people of India.

Courses : 

The College offer courses like Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.), Ph.D (Veterinary Science).

Infrastructure :

The College has excellent infrastructural facilities including well stocked library, well furnished classrooms, Playground, Canteen, Bank, Laboratories, Seminar Hall, Conference Hall.

Admission Procedure :

The eligibilty for undergraduate courses is 10+2 pass and for post graduate courses the elibility is graduation. The admission to most of these courses is done through various entrance tests at different levels and for rest of the courses the admission is done directly.

Faculty :

The college faculties are Highly experienced academicians of national and international repute.

B.V.Sc.& A.H.

Duration:- 5 Years

Eligibility:-

  • The candidate desires to take admission under this category has to appear for MH-CET Entrance Examination conducted by Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and must obtained 50% marks in the said examination. The notification in this regard is published by DMER, Mumbai in Daily News Papers usually in the month of February
  • The candidate desires to take admission under this category has to appear for All India Common Entrance Examination conducted by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi each year. The notification in this regard is published by VCI, New Delhi in the leading News Papers and Employment News usually in the month of January-February every year.
  • The candidates domiciled in State of Maharashtra who desires to take admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course has to appear for MHT-CET Entrance Examination conducted Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and must obtain 50% marks (Open Category) and 40% marks (Reserved Category) in the said examination. The notification in this regard is published by DMER, Mumbai in Daily News Papers usually in the month of February.
  • The candidates domiciled in State other than Maharashtra and who desires to take admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course has to appear for MHT-CET Entrance Examination conducted by Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and must obtain 50% marks in the said examination. The notification in this regard is published by DMER, Mumbai in Daily News Papers usually in the month of February.
  • The admissions for B.V.Sc. & A.H usually start in the month of August - September every year.
  • The students desirous, should apply in the prescribed Application Form provided by the University.
