Medical College & Hospital Kolkata was established in 1835 and it is one of the pioneer institute in Kolkata. The college was the first European medicine college of Asia.This institution is also the first hospital of India. This college is one of the finest medical colleges in India and is also an excellent hospital providing relief to common people. The college has got a very rich heritage which is visible everywhere inside the enclosure of the institute.
Courses :
The College offer courses like Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Master of Surgery in Anatomy, Doctor of Medicine in Biochemistry, Doctor of Medicine in Bio-Physics, Doctor of Medicine in Forensic Medicine.
Infrastructure :
The college is located in the north-west section of the campus and consists of different blocks which include the administrative block which is the clock tower the library of the college; auditorium; common room; various departments like anatomy department, chemistry department etc and a group of lawns for sports purpose.
Admission Procedure :
The eligibilty for undergraduate courses is 10+2 pass and for post graduate courses the elibility is graduation. The admission to most of these courses is done through various entrance tests at different levels and for rest of the courses the admission is done directly.

The college is supported by a team of experienced faculty, skilled technical staff and excellent non-teaching staff.
