SDPS College of Nursing was established in the year 2006 and runs under the aegis of Shrimati Dhairya Prabhadevi Sojatia Women’s Welfare Society. The college is affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
The college is engaged in the process of offering quality education and training in the field of Nursing. The college is situated in serene and pollution free environment and provides an excellent environment for Higher Education. The candidate seeking admission is required to pay admission fees Rs. 62,200/- The college emerge into a premier and the most preferred educational institution at every level of academic pursuit across the country.
The different activities like workshops, Seminars, debates, conferences, Guest Lectures, painting, drawing, music, plays, elocution, mini projects and competitions offer the students a platform to perform and present their talents. The college organize extra-curricular, co-curricular events. The college is well equipped with quality facilities for indoor sports like chess, caroms, table tennis, etc.
Courses :
The college offer courses like one and half-year Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM) and four-year B Sc Basic Nursing course.
Infrastructure :
The college offers lavish infrastructure with all modern amenities like well ventilated spaciuous classrooms with seating capacity for 60- 75 students in each class, Well equipped Fundamentals laboratory, Nutrition Lab, Maternal and Child Health Lab, Anatomy Museum and an auditorium having seating capacity of 450-500. The college have four classrooms well ventilated with proper lighting system, equipped with built-in green boards, overhead projector and computers.
The college library have sufficient number of cupboards, racks for proper storing of books, magazines, reference books and nursing journals. The college provides hostel facilities and each room accommodates three students. There is a common dining room, kitchen & recreation room. The canteen is well equipped provides lunch and other eatables at college premises. The college provides transportation facilities for taking students to college and to the attached hospitals as well as rural training centers.
Admission Procedure :
Undergraduate:
The Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English conducted by a recognized Board or Council. Candidates must be of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. Reservations and relaxation are as per the norms of Indian Nursing Council.
Diploma:
The Candidate should have completed 10th or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council. Reservations and relaxation are done as per the norms of Indian Nursing Council.
Faculty :
The faculty is preparing nurses who can accept the new challenges in health care system, provide better care with feeling of kindness and respect to humankind who are sick and well.
