Smt NHL Municipal Medical College was established in the year 1963 and is affiliated to Gujarat University. The College offers quality education in medical science, at different levels of degree. The alumni of the college are placed in some of the reputed hospitals all over the globe.
Campus and infrastructure :-
The college has a well equipped library with around 24,000 books and Medline link and Internet facilities. More than 100 journals in the print / electronic media are being subscribed to. Plans are on anvil to expose the students to Internet surfing by installing computers with telephone connectivity in the students’ gymkhana. The college also provides Central Library, Animal House, Auditorium, Canteen, Central Computer Cell, Examination and Lecture Hall, Hostels, Sports & Games, Photographic-cum-Audiovisual Unit, Medical Education Unit.

The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects, from a recognized university.
Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidates should have done MBBS from a recognized University.
Post Graduate:
The candidate should have completed MBBS or equivalent course along with one year of internship from a recognized university within Gujarat. He/she should have obtained permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India or Gujarat Medical Council within one month from the date of his/her admission.
Doctorate:

The candidate should have passed MD/MS examination, from a recognized university.
