Government Medical College, Jammu was established in the year 1973 and is affiliated to Jammu University. The college provide quality education and deliver the health care service to the people of this region. The college was started with the aim to train fifty medical students for MBBS course per year and to serve as referral hospital for Jammu Province. But now the seating capacity has been increased upto 120 students per year, Besides MBBS course the college also imparts Post-graduate training Course.

The college offers Central Library, Animal House, Auditorium, Canteen, Central Computer Cell, Examination and Lecture Hall, Hostels, Sports & Games, Photographic-cum-Audiovisual Unit, Medical Education Unit. The institute has well experienced faculties.

Admission :-
Admission to these courses require minimum qualification 50% marks in aggregate in the Science subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology. Entrance exams held by university.

Placement support will be provided to students wherever possible.
