The B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya) / Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery degree is 512 years long, consisting of 412 years of study and one year of mandatory internship with authorization from the CCIM and the Department of AYUSH.

1) M.D./M.S. – (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery- Ayurveda)

Course Duration 4 ½ years + 1-year Internship
Admission Procedure Through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NBE (National Board of Examination).
Entry Qualification Any examination equivalent to the H.S.C. / (10+2) examination, of any recognized Board/ University after 12 years of study.
50% in PCB for the normal category and 40% for the reserved class.

  1. General Medicine – MBBS General Medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the whole body. This includes the brain, heart, lungs, blood vessels, skin, bones, muscles, joints, digestive system, urinary tract, reproductive organs, immune system, endocrine glands, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, and other systems.
  2. Cardiology – The cardiology Course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the cardiovascular system and its diseases. This course covers various aspects of heart anatomy and physiology, cardiac pathophysiology, clinical evaluation of patients with suspected cardiac disease, diagnosis, and treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD), arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, congenital heart defects, pericardial disorders, pulmonary hypertension, cardiomyopathies, and other related topics. Students can expect to learn about the basic concepts of cardiovascular medicine, including the structure and function of the heart, normal and abnormal electrocardiographic findings, common causes of chest pain, and the role of imaging techniques in the assessment of CAD. In addition, this course provides students with knowledge of the principles of pharmacotherapy, including indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and appropriate use of medications.
  3. PediatricsPediatrics Course is designed to provide students with a broad base of knowledge about the field of pediatrics. This course aims at developing the skills and competencies necessary for the practice of pediatric medicine. The course consists of lectures, seminars, workshops, clinical postings, and research projects. Students are exposed to various aspects of child health care including neonatal, perinatal, infant, child, adolescent, and adult health. 
  4. Orthopedics – Orthopedics Course is a 5 years program that provides training in orthopedic surgery. This course has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the modern-day medical practitioner. The course is divided into two parts – Part I (pre-clinical) and Part II (Clinical).  Part I includes topics like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Radiography, Ultrasound, Clinical Examination, Principles of Surgery, Surgical Techniques, etc. Part II covers topics like Anesthesia, Intraoperative Care, Postoperative Care, Trauma Management, Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, Spine Surgery, Neurosurgery, Hand & Foot Surgeries, etc.
  5. Neurosurgery – This course focuses on the brain and nervous system, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and surgery. Students learn about the human body’s structure and function through lectures, laboratory work, and clinical rotations. They are exposed to various diseases and disorders of the central nervous system, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and many others.
  6. Opthalmology – MBBS Ophthalmology course is a 4-year course that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. This course is designed to provide students with knowledge about anatomy, physiology, pathology, epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis, management, and prevention of ocular disorders. Students are trained to perform various procedures like intraocular lens implantation, cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, strabismus surgery, etc.
  7. Obstetrics and Gynecology – MBBS Obstetrics and Gynecology Course is a 5-year program that leads to a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from any recognized university. This course covers the basic principles of medicine, surgery, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, epidemiology, community health, medical ethics, medical jurisprudence, etc. This course is designed to provide students with knowledge about human reproduction, pregnancy, childbirth, and diseases related to these processes. Students learn how to diagnose and treat common problems associated with women’s reproductive systems. They gain experience in performing various procedures like amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, fetal blood sampling, ultrasound examination, etc.


Management and NRI seats for MBBS course in India

  • Management Seats:- Management seats are the seats that are allocated to students who have passed their qualifying examination but failed to get admission into medical college. These seats are reserved for those candidates who have scored less than 50% marks in their qualifying exam. Students can apply for these seats after they complete their graduation from any recognized university.
  • NRI Seats:- NRI seats are the seats allotted to students who have passed out of their undergraduate degree from a foreign university. They are usually given preference over Indian students. However, if the number of seats available for NRIs exceeds the number of seats available in the country, then the remaining seats are distributed among the Indian applicants.
