Introduction to Rajasthan Medical College
Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) is a statutory body established under the Rajasthan State Act, 1961, to regulate medical education in Rajasthan state.
- RMC was constituted in 1962. RMC has been granted the status of autonomous body by the Government of Rajasthan.
- The RMC council is responsible for regulating all aspects of medical education including curriculum, examination, accreditation of institutions, registration of doctors, etc.
- The council is headed by a Chairman who is appointed by the Governor of Rajasthan. The council consists of 15 members, out of which 10 are nominated by the government and 5 are elected from among the students registered at the undergraduate level.
The RMC council has two functions –
- regulation of medical education and promotion of health care services.
- In addition to this, the council is also responsible for conducting examinations for the registration of doctors and dentists.
The council regulates the following courses –
- Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS),
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS),
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT),
- Bachelor of Nursing (BN).
The council is affiliated with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS), National Board of Examinations (NBE), and Central Council for Research in Unani medicine (CCRMU), Central Council for Research on Ayurvedic Medicines.
What are the Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in Rajasthan?

3. Counseling Rounds
The Rajasthan state quota counseling committee holds three rounds of MBBS admission counseling.

2. Second Round of Counseling (Online): Candidates allocated a seat in Round 2 (fresh allotment / upgradation) who do not join their Round 2 allotted seat or quit in a timely manner will be required to lose their registration fee.

If any seats remain vacant after the mop-up phase, they will be filled using the All India NEET merit list, and students from any state are welcome to apply.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MBBS Admission Rajasthan
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is conducted twice a year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses at various medical colleges across India.
