Bachelor of Dental Surgery ( BDS ) is a four-year course that leads to a degree called Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). This program is designed to prepare students for a career in general dentistry. Students learn about oral anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, dental materials, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatrics, preventive dentistry, community dentistry, and other related topics.
